Testing shall be performed at an independent laboratory
acceptable for the Government. Testing for material (L-P-375), mildew
resistance (ASTM G 21) and flammability (NFPA 701) is required once a year
during the contract – once at first article and again at the beginning of the
second contract year. Certification shall be provided by the contractor with
each subsequent lot, that material meets all specification requirements, unless
the supplier and/or the material formulation change. If supplier and/or
formulation change, new tests are required. For mildew testing, any additional
testing deemed necessary by the Government shall be performed at the same
laboratory used by the supplier.
Regulatory Requirements. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered
materials in accordance with Public Law 94-580, as amended, to the maximum
extent practical.
Preservation, Packaging, Packing, Labeling and Marking. The preservation,
packaging, packing, labeling and marking shall be as specified in the contract
or order.
Ordering Data. Purchasers shall specify following in the order: Type, size,
color, finish, and pattern when applicable.
